News and conferences

  • AISEM 2026, Catania

    February 10th-13th 2026. Martin Hruška attended AISEM 2026, the XXIV Annual Conference on Sensors and Microsystems, held in Catania, Italy.

  • GAČR project support

    December 2025. Our group received support from the Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR) for the 2026-2028 project Composite oxidic aerogels for tailored detection of biogenic amines in gaseous environment.

  • Visit from Korea

    November 12th 2025. Our group welcomed Dr. Seong-Yong Jeong from Korea during his visit to UCT Prague.

  • University of Tartu

    October 2025. Jaroslav Otta started a postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratory of Sensor Technologies, Institute of Physics, University of Tartu, supported by an ETAG Mobilitas 3.0 incoming postdoctoral grant.

  • IVC-23, Sydney

    September 15th-19th 2025. Four members of our group — Fitl, Kejzlar, Otta and Novotný — attended the 23rd International Vacuum Congress (IVC-23) in Sydney, Australia, and also visited the laboratories of Professor Marcela Bilek at The University of Sydney.

  • Barrande-Vltava 2025, Pardubice

    August 31st-September 2nd 2025. At the 14th Barrande-Vltava French-Czech Chemistry Meeting in Pardubice, Czech Republic, Martin Hruška presented the talk Tuning Sensitivity in Organic Bilayer Heterojunction Sensors via Geometry and Operating Conditions and the poster Fast and Sensitive Hydrogen Detection Using Nanostructured Black Palladium Thin Films Prepared by Pulsed Laser Deposition.

  • ICMUB

    July 2025. Martin Hruška returned to our laboratory after completing a postdoctoral stay at the Institute of Molecular Chemistry of the Université Bourgogne Europe (ICMUB) in Dijon, France, from January to July 2025.
